The Masque

Home > Entertainment > The Masque

The Masque is a brand new music venue in Liverpool born out of the ashes of the old Barfly. The building has been refurbished from top to bottom and reopened on the 18th September as a brand spanking shiny new building.  Since take over, and through our refurb, we have increased capacity to 600 in the Theatre, 350 in the Loft, and 300 in Ink, the tattoo studio inspired rock and roll bar.

Some of the shows we've had have been phenomenal including Daniel Johnston, The Slits, The Bays, Bombay Bicycle Club, Chrome Hoof, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Foy Vance, The Apples, Marina & The Diamonds, Dananananakroyd.  The venue also still hosts world reknowned club nights Chibuku and Circus.  The club nights have been packed out with acts like Chase & Status, Benga andSkream.  We partook in Liverpool Music Week heavily and will also be one of the main venues for Sound City 2010.

Our focus is providing the best bands and club nights to intimate audiences.  We provide, good service, good drinks, good bands, good DJs in a great looking venue.

Getting there:
From Lime Street Station (National Lines), leave the station by the side entrance, to your right if you are facing the Departures/Arrivals boards.  Turn right out of the car park/ drop off point and turn left onto Lime Street.  Follow the road, you should pass The Adelphi Hotel on your left and Lewis` department store on your right.  The road changes into Renshaw Street, but continue straight up the road to the church facing you at the top.  Here, the road veers to the left (Hardman Street) and has a branch to the right (Berry Street).  Take the right hand road (Berry Street) and then take the 3rd right (Seel Street).  Follow your heart (and the big shiny Masque signs) to the place where happiness lives (90 Seel Street)!

From Central station (Regional Lines) Turn left out of the station and up the incline onto Bold Street. Walk to the top of street and turn right at Soul Cafe onto Colquitt street.  Walk straight forward until you see La’go on the right hand side.  We’re directly opposite where you will see a big sign saying: ‘The Masque’!  Welcome!

Limited street parking available near venue, with several multi-storey car parks in the vicinity.  We advise using public transport.
