Getting There:

Liverpool Birkenhead Ferry Port by Car

From the M53: Follow signs on the M53 for Wallasey Docks, which is the last turning before the exit to the Mersey Tunnel entrance to Liverpool. Follow this road (Wallasey Dock Links Road - Dock Road) for approximately two miles, keeping straight at first roundabout and then right at second roundabout (Tower Road). This takes you across the Four Bridges (Tower Road). Norfolkline Irish Sea ferry terminal is on the left, approximately 400 yards past the bridges.

From Liverpool city centre: Take the Wallasey (Kingsway) Tunnel from Liverpool. Once passing through the pay booths, take the left exit lane. At the roundabout, turn left into Gorsey Lane to a set of traffic lights, turn left and follow the Dock Road to another roundabout. Turning right takes you on to Tower Road (Four Bridges) and Norse Merchant Ferries Terminal is on your left.
On exiting the Birkenhead (Queensway) Tunnel take an immediate left (u-turn) to the toll booth (unmanned - correct payment is required) from which you will enter Chester Street. Continue ahead to Canning Street and follow until the third set of traffic lights/tram crossing. Turn right and the entrance to the NorseMerchant Ferries Terminal is on the left.

There are 3 railway stations located near to Liverpool Birkenhead Ferry Port - Hamilton Square, Birkenhead Park and Birkenhead Central. Hamilton Square is the closest though all 3 are within walking distance of the Norfolkline Irish Sea Terminal.

Liverpool Birkenhead Ferry Port by Coach
There is a frequent National Express service operating various coaches to Liverpool from around the UK. National Express Coaches use the station on Norton Street, northeast of Lime Street.

Car parking spaces are limited and available on a first come first served basis.
